Meet the Professional Teachers

Ustaadh Abdullahi Shire

was raised in Seattle, Washington. He spent over 4 years studying in Egypt delving into various Islamic sciences and obtaining ijazat. His passion lies within Shafi’i Fiqh and its Usool. He has had the privilege of teaching over 200 students worldwide.

Ustaadh Ghazaly Binsary

was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. By the Grace of Allāh, he was fortunate to spend several years in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia and benefited tremendously during his time there. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology in Islamic Studies and is pursuing a higher education degree.

Ustaadh Kyle Smith

accepted Islam in 2004 alhamdulillah and has been studying in various capacities since then. He believes that no one should say, “I have completed my studies”, so if Allāh wills, he will continue pursuing Islamic knowledge for the rest of his life. He has been teaching in the greater Seattle area for over 15 years.

Ustaadha Umm Meryem

has taught Islamic studies in the USA regarding various topics including shafi’i fiqh, which she has studied and currently teaches the most. She mostly teaches from Matn al-Ghayat wa al-Taqreeb (also known as Matn Abu Shujaa’). She studied multiple aqeedah books under various shuyookh, some of them being Usool ath-Thalaatha, al-Qawaa’id al-Arba’, etc. from scholars and advanced students of knowledge such as Yasir ibn Yousef & Abdulrahman Hassan (may Allah preserve them). She has also studied various ahadith books. She has an ijazah in Arba’een an-Nawawi by Shaykh Waleed al-Meneese and 40 hadith on seeking knowledge by Mufti Muneer (may Allah preserve them). Other scholars she has learned and taken from are Muhammad Huzaifah, Yasin Munye, Ammar Shahin, Abdurrazzaq al-Badr, Dr. Labeeb Najeeb, etc. She has traveled to Egypt 2 years ago to attain fluency in Arabic and is now residing in Madinah, KSA to continue that journey and to memorize the Qur’an.

Ustaadh Mohamed Noor

is a dedicated instructor at Siraaj Institute and Ma’had ibn Taymiyah. Involved in Dawah since age 15, he has more than a decade of experience in Islamic education and outreach. For almost a decade, he has taught Arabic grammar, Hadith, Tafseer, Aqeedah, and Fiqh. Ustadh Mohamed began his studies in Columbus, Ohio, graduating from the Ma’had at Masjid ibn Taymiyyah, and has studied with scholars from Somalia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and Senegal. He also pursued advanced studies abroad in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. His diverse educational background, along with his commitment to nurturing the next generation of Muslim scholars and leaders, make him a highly respected figure within the community.

Ustaadh Yasin

is a graduate from Umm Al-Qura University in Saudi Arabia with a Bachelor’s Degree from the Faculty of Uloom al-Quran and Tafsir. He also has a Bachelor’s Degree from Makkah Institute, a Certificate and card as a Teacher and Imam from the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance. He holds a Diploma in Quran Teaching from Al-Shatibi Institute as well as a Certificate in “How to Be a Creative Quran Teacher” from the Teacher Training Institute in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He had the privilege of attaining an Ijazah in the Ten Minor Qira’at (Readings) through Al-Shatibiyyah. He obtained an Ijazah in the Qira’at of Ibn Kathir Al-Makki and ‘Asim, granted by Dr. Muhammad Fouad Abdelmajid, who studied under Sheikh Abdulhakim Abdullatif, the Sheikh of General Quranic Readings in Egypt. Lastly, he holds an Ijazah in Hafs ‘an ‘Asim granted by Sheikh Fawzi Al-Hameed, who studied under Sheikh Al-Hosary.
